Read it:
Libya, 1969 to 2026. Under Muammar Gaddafi the state owned nearly everything; after him it was divided among two governments, two central banks and armed groups on its own payroll. Fuel sold at three US cents a liter left by sea for Malta and Sicily; dollars sold for imports that never arrived paid Tripoli's militias; cash in a Benghazi bank vault went to an unknown destination; detained migrants were priced by nationality. The book follows the money out of Libya and asks who took delivery. Covers Saddam Haftar and the Libyan Arab Armed Forces, Mohammed Kashlaf and the Zawiya coast guard, Abdelghani al-Kikli and the Stability Support Apparatus, Ali Ibrahim Dbeibah and ODAC, the Debono fuel network and Kolmar, and Société Générale and the Libyan Investment Authority.
