Read it:
Macau, 1990 to 2026: a city half the size of Manhattan on the edge of a country where gambling is a crime. For most of two decades it was the world's largest casino market, and the biggest of the licensed middlemen who carried money across its border ran bets the tax never saw. Its prosecutor general rigged his own office's contracts; its public-works secretary hid his bribes in Hong Kong and London; four or five inspectors checked two hundred junkets. A mainland warrant ended it. Covers Alvin Chau and the Suncity Group, Levo Chan and Tak Chun, Wan Kuok Koi and the 14K, Ao Man Long and Joseph Lau, Ho Chio Meng and the Public Prosecutions Office, and Stanley Au and Banco Delta Asia.
