Read it:
Atlanta, Copenhagen, Paris and York, 2013 to 2025. Two women who never worked together take the same fact from opposite ends. Lucie Basch, a French engineer on a Nestle graduate scheme in England, watches good food leave a factory as waste and decides nobody has priced the last hour of the day. Jasmine Crowe, cooking for people sleeping outdoors in Atlanta from her own kitchen, decides nobody has routed the truck. One builds a marketplace that sells the surplus cheap to whoever shows up. The other builds a hauling company that charges the restaurant to take it away and gives it to a shelter. Both are arguments about the same clock, and both raise the question of whether selling the last hour makes the day any shorter. Covers Lucie Basch, Jasmine Crowe, Too Good To Go, and Goodr.
